Marcus really knuckled down during December to complete the work that he had been assigned at school. This made a lot of our plans revolve around what he was doing on his computer. Soccer was pretty nonexistent this month and this left swim practices the main outlet for his energies. Marcus took part in the Turkey-Claus swim meet and swam well in his events. The Cotillion Winter Dance was a fun time for Marcus and despite his initial apprehension about the event, he had a good time dancing and eating cookies. The December String recital was the shortest that we have been to so far and I think that this suited Marcus. During the Winter Break from school we visited a lot of museums in DC; Marcus was not a fan of this. For Christmas he received a lot of cool stuff, money, books, clothes, all of which he really liked.
Sophie
Age10 Years 7 Months
Weight85 lb
Height4′ 11″
Sophie had a good Month, she achieved a few JO times (Potomac valley Junior Olympic times) in the swimming pool. Soccer has been a little slow with just a few practices and a few indoor games, she has been a strong member of her team. School has continued to go well this year in Mrs. Wieder's class, and Sophie seems to be handling the work very well; she still has a strong dislike of mathematics though. Winter break was fun for Sophie although she made it very clear that she wasn't very interested in the art galleries that we visited while school was out. Just like Marcus, Sophie seemed very happy with what she received for Christmas this year, stitch onesie, books (Rick Riordan), Shopkins, cold hard cash, and lots more good stuff.
