Sports have been going well for Marcus this month, with Soccer and swim both being good for our growing boy. The attitude that started in the past few months continued and we are stubbornly dealing with things that happen as they arise. Marcus is a great kid and so hopefully there will be an end to this soon. Cello playing has been a pleasure to listen to this month and he really is getting a lot better when he practices. The break from school was filled with 'Sports Camp' at the YMCA for one week, then 'Aquatics camp' for the next week. Christmas was a highlight for Marcus and he got some stuff that he really likes: LEGO, a movie (inside out), quad-copter, clothes, a new mattress, a pillow pet, money, puzzle.

Sophie

Sophie has been doing well at school and her sports seem to be going well too despite some cold practices, her swimming is going great and she really looks good in the water, and seems to put in a lot of effort. Hiking is an area where Sophie showed some grit this month, pushing through even when she was tired. Viola practice has been enjoyable to listen to and she is starting to like her instrument more and more. Chinese school has been good for Sophie and she seems to be really good with the language although getting her to do the homework has been a real struggle. With Marcus she has been a little snappy and it makes us sad that they often descend into bickering when they are together these days. For Christmas Sophie got: LEGO, a movie (Minions), clothes, a pillow pet, money, Shopkins, books.
