For Marcus July has been a mix of soccer, swimming and a bunch of camps. Early in the month we went camping with friends and had a fun time, the hike in was strenuous but Marcus did great and really enjoyed poking the fire and carving sticks with his knife. Swim team went well and it is always such fun to watch Marcus swimming so hard then checking his time to see if he earned a doughnut (if he beats his best time). It's been a tough month for soccer, his Super Y team has been outplayed at every game and it has been hard to watch, through it all the whole team has worked hard.

Camps for Marcus this month were:

Camp Goshen (Sleep away) with the Scouts - We missed Marcus while he was away having an awesome time
Mad Science camp at Frying Pan Farm Park - This seemed like a fun camp with lots of friends
Fairfax Collegiate (2 Weeks) - Mathamatics in the morning, and EV3 Robotics Platform in the afternoon

Sophie

Sophie got to show off her swimming skills this month and performed really well in all of her events, her stroke is very clean and it's nice to watch her move through the water. Some soccer practices started this month and this should get Sophie ready for travel soccer in the fall season. Sophie had a blast when we headed to the ropes course at Harpers Ferry and she got through some pretty hard courses that we thought she may struggle on. Camps have been fun for her this month and she has got to see many old friends and to make some new ones.

Fairfax Collegiate (2 Weeks) - Robots in Space in the morning, and Math Fundamentals in the afternoon
