Lots of soccer games this month, and then we also started tryouts for Fall 2015. Marcus has been putting in a lot of effort and has been getting some really good results. On the 7^th Marcus took part in the school Strings recital and played the cello well with his fellow musicians. On the 10^th Marcus completed the Reston Youth Triathlon, he did a good job although playing a soccer game after the race was tough on his legs. Marcus' class completed their SOL testing this month, we had a few setbacks because Marcus was struggling with some mathematics concepts but he seems happy with how he did on the tests.

This has been a busy month at school for Sophie, she did a great job in her class 'Touch Museum' where she dressed up and answered questions about her character Marco Pole. On the 10^th Sophie turned 9 years old and she got some very special visitors for her birthday when Aunty Nien-Chien, Uncle Holmes, and Grandma Bea came to help celebrate her birthday. On her birthday (May 10^th) Sophie completed the Reston youth Triathlon and managed to put in a good performance. On the 17^th she got to bounce around at Rebounderz with a bunch of her best friends and had a blast. Later in the month she completed the Girl Scouts bridging ceremony and will rejoin the group and a Brownie later in the year. SOL testing was completed this month and we didn't feel the need to do too much work with Sophie, time will tell if we did the right thing.
