It's amazing to think that our little boy turned 9 this month, he seems so big and grown up in so many ways. His birthday sleepover went as well as expected, the boys stayed up way too late but they did have a lot of fun, and Marcus really enjoyed the experience. Soccer has been going well this month and Marcus has been a valuable member of his team, which this month won their first game. His effort level in soccer has been great and he is really showing a lot of improvement since joining the travel team. A highlight for Marcus this month was celebrating Halloween as a headless man and collecting far too much sugar from the neighborhood.

Sophie

Lots of activities for Sophie this month, swimming has been going great (with near private lessons from super coaches), and soccer has also been going really well too. Sophie has been very active and seems to be enjoying all of her sports (soccer, swimming, and gymnastics). School has been going great this month too and she seems to be a good member of her class and doesn't have a problem with any of the work that she is given. We do wonder if we need to give Sophie some harder work at home to give her more of a challenge, but this feels a little cruel in a way. Chinese school seems to be going OK but I think that Sophie would feel better about going if Marcus were going too.
