Bradley farm swim season ended strong this month for Marcus, he played a strong role in the team and managed to keep his place in the top relay team by being one of the four fastest boys for his age. He got some really good times and really enjoyed the fun times at the swim meets. His fastest times for the year are as follows:
25M Free: 22.84s — 25M Back: 27.12s — 25M Breast: 30.83s — 25M Fly: 35.16s
Marcus had a blast climbing through the trees at the ropes course and tried really hard on each of the obstacles that we met. The 'Train' concert that we attended was just OK for Marcus, but chasing the beach balls around the stadium was a huge hit, much better than some music.
Chicago was a lot of fun and I think that Marcus' favorite part was playing in the water at Millennium Park with friends. Deep Creek was another highlight of July and this included being dragged behind a boat at speed and hiking and staying up later than usual with friends. Marcus' camps for this month were as follows:
Sophie
Age7 Years 2 Months
Weight50.6 lb
Height4′ 1″
Sophie made some good friends this year on swim team and she swam really hard in her events. At the start of the season she had some disqualifications but as the season went on she got faster and more consistent in her races. Her fastest times for the year are as follows:
25M Free: 30.73s — 25M Back: 31.96s — 25M Breast: 43.14s — 25M Fly: 43.7s
Sophie had a lot of occasions to spend times with other girls this month (we seem to know more families with boys). Firstly when we went to Chicago she got to play with lots of her girl friends, as well as spending some quality time with Grandma. While there she also enjoyed the SHEDD aquarium and playing in the water at Millennium Park; although waiting for mom to run past in her half marathon was a little too boring for Sophie. Later in the month when we got to spend the weekend at Deep Creek Sophie got time with some of her very best friends, giggling, playing games, and spending time on the water. Climbing in the ropes course at Harpers Ferry was a lot of fun for Sophie but when things got difficult she did get a little nervous with the height, but she did super considering that she was only just tall enough to even reach some of the lines on the courses. Sophie's camps for this month were as follows:
