We've been getting a little more of an attitude from Marcus this month, we aren't sure what the cause is (maybe this is the new normal), but we will be working to remedy the situation. School seems to be going well and even at Chinese school Marcus has been showing a decent level of effort. We had a brief snowstorm early in the month and Marcus got to go sledding with a few of his friends. Track started this month and Marcus so far has been doing really well, he is a decent runner in his group and tried really hard. We had 2 days where we tried to catch a fish, but alas they were all too sly for our rod and they managed to get away. LEGO league has been quite fun this month and as we get closer to the final exhibition there seems to be more and more urgency to complete our work.

Sophie

Sophie has had an enjoyable month all around; having Grandma in town to cook for her has been a special treat for Sophie's delicate taste buds. School has been going well and she seems to be having little trouble with her work, although maybe this means that we aren't pushing her enough. Sophie had a blast at the Chantilly high school art exhibition where she had a piece of her artwork displayed. In track Sophie has really been keeping up with much older girls and is quite the little runner. LEGO league; which started a little nervously has now improved although it does take up quite a lot of unscheduled time. Sophie really enjoyed going to the circus in DC and the time spent in the Botanical Gardens and around the Capitol building, and especially the Washington Monument which she has been studying the in school.
