Marcus got back into the swing of regular non-vacation life pretty well after returning from Florida, we did have a few nights where he stayed up later than we would have liked but in general the transition back was a good one. School work was difficult to get back into but he managed to catch up within the first week back. Chinese New Year celebrations were fun for Marcus and he got to be on the stage with Sophie and surprised us by reading a poem using the microphone when another boy didn't want to do it. On the 18^th Marcus had his mouth appliance removed for a week until his retainer was ready, this was an odd feeling and improved his speech clarity a little. On the 23^rd Marcus and Damian spent the night in Port Discovery, the children's museum at Baltimore Harbor. The night was fun and although there was less sleep that hoped for it was a cool adventure.

Sophie

Returning from sunny warm Florida was a bit of a rude awakening for Sophie. But heading back to school was exciting and meant that she had a lot of stuff to get ready and some work to catch up with. We were a little worried about Sophie on some of the rides at Disney World, we thought that she may get scared on rides like space Mountain, but as it turned out she was the only one of us who was desperate to go back on that ride (Damian & Nien felt sore after and Marcus felt queasy). For Chinese New Year at Chinese school Sophie and her class got to perform a song and poem with Marcus' class, she seemed to enjoy the event.
