What a fun month for Marcus, school seems to have been transitioning from work into fun as the month has gone by and Chinese class has been ramping down for the year. All this has lead to a totally fun and relaxed month. Basketball has been going well and Marcus really enjoys the games (although he does need to pay more attention in practice). Reading is still huge for Marcus; he takes advantage of all of his spare time to get his nose into a book (what a change from a year ago). Our trips this month have both been good for Marcus and he has been a really great traveler and helper wherever we have gone, walking lots and complaining little.

Sophie doesn't seem to be a morning person, but this is even more noticeable on these cold December mornings. When we do manage to coax her out of her bed she has started liking our regular egg breakfast again (we have heard egg complaints for the last year), maybe this is also due to the cold mornings. Sophie was a big help this year while we were searching for the perfect Christmas tree this year, she helped to cut the tree and to drag it to the car. Decorating the tree was a fun event and Sophie was a huge help here too. Basketball this month has been fun and Sophie really seems to enjoy spending time on the court with her friends. School is continuing to go great for Sophie and she seems to really do well and be very studious and enthusiastic every day.
