Summer camps have been going great this month here are what both kids were in:
Week1 » YMCA Outdoor discovery camp, hiking, archery, fishing, etc, this must have been a lot of fun because every day they both were returned to us dirty and sweaty.
Week2 Marcus » YMCA LEGO camp, this one seems to be OK but we didn't get a lot of feedback on the actual LEGO part, just on the general YMCA camp fun.
Week2 Sophie » US Arts, this one was Sophie's usual art place and she had a lot of fun making artwork with friends and teachers she knows from art class.
Week3 » Farm camp, conveniently close to home and lots of outdoor fun, time with the animals and exploring the farm.
Week4 » Soccer development camp, this was especially fun for Marcus & Sophie because we had two of the coaches staying at the house with us. Lots of soccer drills and games and some afternoon fun time in the pool.
Week5 » Mom camp, staying home with Nien proved to be a really good week, they did work every morning and then explored outdoor water parks in the area each afternoon.
Mid month Marcus and Sophie took part in the Reston Kids triathlon, they both did great and had a lot of fun at the same time, here are their results:
