Marcus

Early in the month Marcus competed in the last swim meet for Bradley Farm of the year, he had a decent season and swam consistently in all of the meets. He seemed once again to have really enjoyed swimming, but this could have been more due to the donuts than the actual swimming. His fastest times for the year are as follows:
25M Free: 31.78s — 25M Back: 32.86s — 25M Fly: 41.85s
Celebrating the 4^th of July was a highlight this month for Marcus, he was very excited by the fireworks and loved swinging sparklers around in the air. Summer school this month saw a lot of hard work for Marcus and he didn't enjoy the added pressure of the daily tests, and the 40 new words to learn each day. Going to Chicago was a lot of fun for the kids and Marcus had an especially good time during the mini muddy buddy race where he shot around the course and managed to get totally covered in mud.

Sophie

Sophie did great this Month, her swimming races for the Bradley Farm swim team went really well and she got to try competing in the breast stroke during the last meet of the season, she had been swimming free and back up until that point. Her fastest times for the year are as follows:
25M Free: 36.67s — 25M Back: 38.25s
Sophie managed to avoid most of the fruit picking on our regular farm visits this month but was quite happy to play by herself, climb trees, and eat fruit while the rest of us picked more fruit for her. The mini muddy buddy race in Chicago wasn't the best of times for Sophie, all that getting dirty and crawling in the mud and stuff didn't really excite her too much. While in Chicago Sophie really enjoyed playing in the water at Millennium Park, a much cleaner type of fun for our little girl. Celebrating the 4^th of July was also a highlight for Sophie, sparklers, friends, and food what could beat that.
