Swimming for Marcus has been going well, he started the season with a good base and has been doing pretty well in his races despite being younger than many of the other kids racing. We have been seeing our fair share of attitude this month and hope that this is not the new normal. Seattle was a lot of fun for Marcus, lots of food to eat and places to explore, he really enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and I think that his favorite thing was going kayaking in the ocean and seeing all of the wildlife. Summer school has been a little bit of a challenge for Marcus and he has been having a hard time (giving us a hard time really) with the masses of homework that he has been bringing home, he does have our sympathies here.

Sophie

Lots and lots of swimming this month for our little fish; she swam great in all of the swim meets that we had and consistently came in the top 3 places. With the extreme heat there has been a great deal of dress wearing and playing outside some with our new neighbor Elizabeth who is 8. Trips to the farm have begun and Sophie has been a good fruit picker so far, although more seems to end up on her face than in the box.
'What were you favorite things about our vacation to Seattle Sophie? Eating ice cream, chasing bunnies, eating donuts, playing with Zoya'. Sophie did great on our trip to the west coast and handled the jetlag and the moving around between locations very well, she used her strong legs to power through all the walking that we threw at her and even managed to try some new foods.
Summer school has been going great and Sophie seems to really like her teacher and the class.
