School has been going well for Marcus and we are pleased with the effort that he is making with his studies. The 100^th day of school was celebrated at school on the Valentine's Day this year which meant exchanging gifts and lots of sweets, it doesn't get much better than that. Later in the month we all went to visit the school for Math night where Marcus showed us the math games that they get to play at work and how he has been learning math. We sanded and stained a bedroom cupboard for Marcus this month and we got some help with this from Marcus, he was especially happy and excited to help out with something that would end up in his room. Cub Scouts celebrated their anniversary this month with the Blue & Gold banquet where we were entertained by Spencer 'Spinney' Johnson, formerly of the Harlem Globetrotters and fed some tasty (yet unhealthy) food. With the mild weather this month Marcus has had the chance to enjoy some fun outside time. This included riding his bike, climbing trees, and even ice skating. Our fishing expedition yielded no fish yet we managed to have fun on a beautiful day at the lake.

Sophie

Sophie took a lot of pleasure this month in writing her Valentine's Day cards for her class, but I think that she had more fun swapping them with her classmates and receiving sweets and small gifts at school. Following on from this she celebrated her 100^th day of school on another day, which meant more sweets and fun. Art class has been going really well and this month Sophie got a piece of her artwork in the newspaper, to advertise the art school. Math night at school gave Sophie a chance to show us some of the games that they had been playing to learn math and it was fun to let her show us around. Sophie has gotten back on her bike in the nice weather and has had great fun riding up and down the street and trying to race Marcus. She has also been enjoying time in the yard playing on the swings in the sun. She has had a lot of time this month to spend with some of her closest friends and has been able to get her 'girl on' a lot this month. Dance class has been a lot of fun for Sophie and her gang of girls are always ready to giggle and sometimes ready to learn new steps.
