Marcus

Marcus has had a fine month at school and he continues to improve his reading and mathematics skills, he has been enjoying school a lot. Tae Kwon Do this month saw testing and Marcus managed to get his orange belt after showing off his skill and concentration. Mid month Marcus helped both choose and cut our Christmas tree, this was a lot of fun and was especially nice because of the unseasonably warm weather that we had on the day. When Grandma came to visit Marcus was able to eat more of the food that he loves and was very eager to help Mrs. Wu in the kitchen. The opening of presents began early in our house and lasted to the New Year. Going to England for Christmas with Marcus was a pleasure and he was great on both plane journeys. While in England he got to see lots of kids and although by the end of our week there he was a little wild due to our lack of routine, he was very well behaved on the whole and had a lot of fun. I think that the highlights for Marcus were getting to play with new friends, opening so many presents and exploring Warwick castle.

Sophie

Sophie had a wonderful month; she got to do some of her very favorite things and had a lot of fun. Although she didn't help too much in the cutting of our Christmas tree, she was a great help when it came to decorating it. Art class has been going very well and she seems to be really enjoying what she gets from the class. At school Sophie is doing great in most areas; although she could be a little more assertive and speak louder when she is called on to speak to the class. Sophie seemed to really enjoy opening all of her Christmas presents and she did get quite a haul this year, she chose wonderful gifts for others and helped to wrap and write some cards too. In England Sophie got to play with kids and got to be spoiled by many adults, both things that she loves. She was especially happy to have some girls to play with and was really excited to be able to play with so many new friends. Visiting a castle for Sophie meant that she would get to walk around and do all of the stuff that her parents wanted, and then to meet a 'real' princess, which is what she wanted.
