At the beginning of the month we started Marcus & Sophie in the Bradley Farm Swim team, we were a little surprised when for the first swim meet they were both entered into events (Marcus in the Crawl and back, and Sophie in the crawl), our surprise came from the fact that neither one of them had swam a full length of the pool before. At the first meet both of them swam great and won their races.

Marcus

Marcus finished his kindergarten year at Oak Hill this month, it was a positive year and he learned a lot of things (mostly good), summer camp has started and Marcus has been having a great time with his friends on the farm. Soccer with his team ended after a great season of playing hard. From soccer he moved onto swim team and started spending a LOT of time in the pool. He is really enjoying swimming and always gets excited about getting into the water. The swim meets have been really fun events where the whole team has a lot of fun while watching the races. Camping in Assateague was all set to get rained out, but after we decided to still go, the sky cleared and we had pretty great weather all weekend. Marcus had a lot of fun playing on the sand, getting his feet wet in the Atlantic, and helping out with the camping on the sand. Tae kwon do has been going well.

Sophie

Sophie has had a really fun month, she has been riding her bike lots, has started swimming and tested for a new Tae kwon do belt (Red). Sophie's riding has been improving brilliantly and she can now go a mile or so before her legs start to get a little tired, she struggles a little on the hills but is generally doing great. Our little swimmer has taken to the swim team really well, she started off being a little apprehensive but quickly started feeling at home in the water and racing for the team. Camping was a highlight this month for Sophie and she really had a good time playing on the beach and eating food cooked on the grill. It was really nice to see Marcus and Sophie having so much fun together in the sand. Late in the month we headed to the farm to pick fruit with Ray and MJ, Sophie had a blast picking blueberries and black raspberries (very tasty) and got to spend some full on girl time with MJ.
