We finally have heat in the house, and now the weather is so great that we really don't need it anymore. What a wonderful month to be in Northern Virginia (and Cancun for that matter), the weather has been about perfect for us, a little chilly in the mornings and warm during the days.

Marcus

I was very impressed when Marcus took the leap from the cliff in Cancun, but that really sums up his month, he has been a super adventurer and has been exploring the outdoors in full earnest. Marcus had a blast in Cancun and has been a super helper around the house. At school there is still some room for improvement and we are hoping that he finds the motivation to read much better soon.

Sophie loved the month on April, the weather got warm and we headed for the beach in Mexico. She got to play in the sand, got her hair braided (she's such a girly girl); she got to pet animals and wear warm weather clothes. There was the start of the soccer season which she embraced with a gusto, and her reading has continued to blossom. She hasn't been much help when it comes to work around the house but what can we really expect from our little princess.
