Marcus

This was a super busy month for our big guy. Early in the month Marcus was overjoyed to see Granny Kate and Granddad Dave, he especially liked being read bedtime stories by Katy and helping Dave with projects around the house. “Race for the Cure” this year was mostly run by Marcus and he also did a great job in the kids sprint afterwards. Possibly the biggest achievement this month is losing the training wheels from his bike, this has given him new independence and he has taken to two wheels really well. At “Relay for Life” Marcus got to be Relay-Boy and had a blast walking around and seeing people. On the 18^th Marcus graduated from the Montessori children's Center in a wonderfully entertaining graduation celebration where he played his part perfectly, the event was super fun for all of us. The day after the Graduation Marcus tested for his Tae Kwon Do Orange belt and managed to perform really well (and very seriously) throughout the test. Late in the month Marcus got a visit from another of his favorite people, Grandma Wu and he enjoyed showing her our garden.

Sophie

Sophie doesn't much like to work hard, so when Granddad Dave and Granny Kate were doing work she would most likely lose herself in the garden or on her scooter. When it came to the “Race for the Cure” however she was fully energized and managed to walk a large portion of the course, which is really good going for her short little legs. Like Marcus, Sophie also got an award this month for her great work and test results in Chinese class, the award ceremony and the medal made Sophie smile for quite some time. Sophie also took a Tae Kwon Do test this month to get her yellow belt, and despite her playing and her wondering head she managed to scrape through and pass the test. On the 20^th Sophie entered girl heaven with the arrival of Allison and Hannah, three girls in the house led to and lot of dressing up and posing and it was really a lot of fun to watch.
