With the hot weather we have seen this month Marcus has been enjoying more and more time outdoors. Both his soccer and Tae Kwon Do have been going well. Marcus had great fun helping us to make our rain barrel at the outdoor workshop and his size was a great help with getting into the barrel. Possibly Marcus's greatest part of this month was going on a fishing trip to Burke Lake with Dad, and although we didn't catch any fish we had a lot of fun on the lake and plan to do this some more. Red fingers were back this month with the start of the strawberry picking season, strawberries were picked and devoured mostly straight from the field. Nearer the end of the month Marcus had a lot of fun exploring and entertaining people at the winery when we held a fund raiser for out relay for life team. When Granny Kate and Granddad Dave flew in from England they were greeted with big hugs and kisses from our little boy.

Sophie

Our big girl this month enjoyed playing in the fountains, rock climbing, and strawberry picking. But the biggest news for Sophie this month was her 4th birthday, our big girl loves being a 4 year old girl, even though she knows that she needs to behave like a bigger girl. Sophie's Tae Kwon Do skills have improved in May with lots of good listening and with showing off her supple body. She is looking taller this month and this may be due to the strawberry diet that she seems to have been on. Although she prefers others to pick the fruit for her, she will on occasion pick her own strawberries so that she can eat more. Sophie loved spending time at the winery entertaining people with her cuteness and listening to the live music. At the end of the month with the arrival of Katy and Dave we got to spend some time at Burke Lake with the Wills family eating grilled food and talking under the shade of the trees, Sophie especially enjoyed spending time with Kirsty and Aiden.
