Marcus was great in Taiwan; he was social and was very willing to explore new things. He really like many of the things that we did, especially eating lots of new food and getting to see new sights; the markets were a favorite. He was a real trooper with the long flights (more so than Damian) and even enjoyed being stuck in the airplane seat as long as it meant that he could watch movies and sleep when he wanted.
First problem after coming back from Taiwan was jet lag, which hit us all hard and made getting back into our daily routines difficult. Marcus had a hard week of being tired at school and then being wide awake at bedtime. Marcus really loved the trip to Taiwan and after getting home missed all the people that we had spent so much time with greatly.

Sophie

Sophie also had a blast in Taiwan, she got to visit lots of really nice places and was the center of attention of many people who she met (this is her chosen place it seems). She did get a little tired of the walking around some of the sights but she managed not to complain too much (it wouldn't do any good) and even surprised us sometimes with her perseverance. After arrival back home she could be heard at 3am singing away to herself in her room wide awake and having a lot of fun. She liked getting back to school to see her friends and enjoyed wearing Dad out with Marcus while Mom went to New York for a weekend.
