February was a tough parenting month, the snow allowed us to spend a lot of quality time together in the house while also trying to work. With so many of our favorite pastimes cut off from us the confinement was at times very trying. The snow did have some upsides and allowed us to sled and the exercise from the shoveling was very needed.
Marcus Age 5 Years 4 Months Weight 48.4 lb Height 3′ 9″
This month Marcus has enjoyed helping out with the snow clearing and has taken special pride in his sledging prowess. We started him on a reward chart from school after we were told that his behavior was not being consistently good enough, so far this has given us some promising results but still a little too early to tell. Swimming has been a popular pastime with many visits to the indoor pool to get out of the cold weather, his swimming is going great and he really enjoys swimming, he can currently swim about 20 feet by himself. Sleep patterns could have been a little better but this is possibly due to the other minor in the house who would rather be playing than sleeping most nights.Sophie Age 3 Years 9 Months Weight 37.4 lb Height 3′ 3″
Like any true princess shoveling snow has been below our little girl this month, but watching others work while eating the cold stuff is another matter. Swimming for Sophie has been great fun this month and just like Marcus she seems to be improving with every visit to the pool. Possible the best thing to happen to Sophie this month is the decorating of her bedroom, complete with purple walls, pink curtains, and butterflies.
