What a milestone month for our five year old, it is so true that the weeks go by slowly and the years fly by. Marcus celebrated his birthday at the gym with a small number of friends, he had a lot of fun running and jumping and generally being king for the day. Halloween is a favorite time of year for Marcus, although this year it was a little bitter sweet. This year we learned that what to us as parents is a costume that is handmade and creative, can mean to a 5 year old being singled out and having to explain what you are. Although the weather has been getting colder, some October favorites have been here this month, visiting the pumpkin patch, hot apple cider, playing in the leaves.

October has seen our little mature more and more in to the little lady that we love so much, the wet bed seems to be a thing of the past as does the need to help Sophie to get dressed. Sophie loved taking part in Marcus' birthday celebrations, from jumping in the foam pit to eating cake, and even a little wrapping removal assistance. Possibly Sophie's favorite activity this month has been dressing up for Halloween and collecting goodies from people in the neighborhood, she also loved sitting at the front door and handing out candy to the other kids that came to visit us.
