September 2009

September, busy start, relaxed end. We started on the sand at Virginia Beach, Damian and Steve (Damian's brother in law) then managed to complete the Virginia Beach Rock N Roll Half Marathon. The run went well although it was hard for both of us. Not long after we got back home we said farewell to our guests and started the process of getting our house back. Damian started the repair work on the porch repairs that we need to do.

Marcus

Marcus loved having Josh and Ethan come to stay and enjoyed showing them where to hide and what trouble to get into. He really enjoyed playing in the sand and the beach atmosphere, and we were very proud of his cycling skills on the boardwalk. Soccer games started for Marcus this month and assistant coach Damian eased our sometimes shy boy into the new environment. A new year of Chinese school started and with it a new class and harder work, we should have practiced more while school was out for the summer.

Sophie

Age	3 Years 4 Months
Weight	34 lb
Height	3′ 2″

Sophie also loved the beach, although more for the water than the sand, she loved being taken out into the waves and splashed. She also loved having Josh and Ethan stay with us and she was often heard bossing them around as she does with her parents, one girl against three boys; no contest really. Chinese school started for Sophie this year and she seems to be doing well so far.
