April & May are possible my favorite times of year in the Washington DC area, the weather is as good and with all of the growth outside it makes you feel good to be alive. At the start of the month we drove the familiar road to Chicago so that we could meet up with friends and family. Damian decided to work the week and after driving to Chicago took a flight back to Dulles for a week of work. Nien spent a fun week catching up and taking care of the kids. During the week in Chicago/DC Damian heard the very sad news that his Grandfather Brian had passed away. Brian passed away peacefully, and with little pain at the age of 93 surrounded by family. We quickly made plans to fly to England for the service and soon enough found ourselves on a flight to Heathrow (via Munich). We did manage to get some time with family and friends while in England, and despite the unhappy reasons for travel we enjoyed our time there.

Marcus

Change of routine has always in the past been hardest on Marcus, but the travel this month has seen him adjust nicely and take the changes of place and people in his stride.

Sophie

Age	2 Years 11 Months
Weight	33 lb
Height	3′ 1″

Sophie has had many opportunities this month to be the center of attention and this is where she loves to be. Often she is shy with people that she hasn't seen for a while but despite this we are starting to think that her life motto is "Look at me". She is looking forward to her 3^rd birthday (if we can get our act together and organize it).
