We started January relaxing in the warm sun of California. On arrival back in Virginia we started to get back into out regular routine pretty quickly. Our stovetop which had been broken for nearly 3 months (still hard to believe) was finally replaced giving us a chance to cook more at home. Damian excitedly started his new job and is very optimistic about the future there. Later in the month we saw our first snow of the winter and got a chance to throw a few snow balls and play a little before it turned into treacherous ice. Nearing February Damian's camera broke once again and we also lost heat in the house when the heating fan failed, this made for some interesting nights waking up every few hours to feed the fireplace, we will no doubt look back on it romantically as camping in the house.

Marcus has had a fun month despite the family being stuck in the house for longer than usual due to the cold weather. He has been taken swimming a couple of times, which he loves and also started his soccer class, which he seems to be enjoying a lot.

Sophie

Height	3′ 0″

Sophie has been practicing her interaction with others a lot this month, starting with Marcus and expanding to her new classmates (she moved class recently). She enjoyed the snow, although after getting cold and wet feet she was soon ready to come into the warmth again. We have been rewarding her more for using the toilet recently and this is starting to reap some results "If I poop on the toilet, I get a sweet"
