What a month, we are still without a stovetop and have been in VERY frustrating discussions with our home insurance company every few days. We all have or have had colds and coughs which makes for instrumental nights of different people coughing. Damian's camera got fixed, which was good and bad, good because we can take pictures, bad because if it was truly dead we would have gotten a newer model. On the 10th Damian got laid off from his job, which was a shock and has left us searching job openings most nights. With the economy looking so gloomy the job process may take some time. On the good news side, we had a very enjoyable month filled with a lot of the stuff that we love to do and Damian managed to get a lot of 'moving in' work done with his spare time. Damian celebrated his birthday this month and had a day filled with calls from friends and family which was very enjoyable.
Marcus
Age4 Years 1 Month
Weight42 lb
Height3′ 5″
Marcus has been struggling with the colder weather, firstly he got the cold that we seem to be passing back and forth between each other and he has also had a red raw face when he licks his lips and the wind dries them out. We started a new tradition with the help of some friends early in the month of melting down the Halloween chocolate for fondue, Marcus loved the practical aspect of making the melted chocolate almost as much as he enjoyed eating it. On the hike that we went on to Weverton cliffs Marcus walked all of the way up the mountain, which was quite a long way for his little legs. We have been trying to get Marcus to give small performances at home to prepare him for his upcoming singing performance at his Chinese school.
Sophie
Age2 Years 6 Months
Weight32 lb
Height3′ 0″
Sophie has such a friendly nature and is so personable, so much so in fact that we think that she was the first one to get the cold that has plagued us all month. Her own coughing was found out later (by the pediatrician) to have developed into a pretty bad ear infection, which the antibiotics are currently dealing with. This month Sophie's favorite things included: going to Aanya's birthday party, being carried on Mom or Dad's back up a mountain, visiting the zoo, and eating chocolate. In December Sophie will be moving class at school and we have been testing the waters of potty training in anticipation of this move. The best that we can get so far is for Sophie to tell us when she HAS pee'd, so much for a warning.
