The weather has started to get really cold and windy during this month. Possible the best day for weather was on the 26th when Damian ran in the Marine Corps Marathon, the running wasn't pretty and it wasn't fast, but Damian did manage to complete the course. Damian got to be teacher for a day when Marcus' class went to the pumpkin patch, it was a fun time but I don't see any career changes in the near future. We seem to have had a little of the reverse-Midas touch this month, firstly Damian's Camera died and then a few days later the stovetop in the kitchen died also. The stovetop has made things quite inconvenient and has meant that we have needed to eat out more than usual. The other main news this month was that we were visited by Nien's Mom and Aunt, who worked long and hard on our garden.
Marcus
Age4 Years
Weight42.2 lb
Height3′ 5″
The big news this month is that Marcus reached the grand old age of four. He got lots of gifts from family and friends and from his loving parents he got taken to the circus. There were two celebrations for Marcus' forth, one from us at the Pumpkin patch and another at school with his school friends. He enjoyed greatly having a birthday but didn't like being the center of attention when everyone started singing to him. For Halloween Marcus was a pirate and despite feeling a little self conscious when he went into school in his costume he found the whole dressing up a lot of fun.
Sophie
Age2 Years 5 Months
Weight32 lb
Height2′ 11″
Sophie has become more of a bossy little general this month and often tells us what we should do and how we should act. She's our little walking conscience who catches us on all the things that we do wrong, which from a two year olds perspective is just about everything. Sophie had a blast celebrating Marcus' birthday with him and especially enjoyed going down the slides at the pumpkin patch. Sophie, like Marcus dressed up as a pirate for Halloween and although she never got her face to look very much like a mean pirate she had a lot of fun. Halloween night was a little scary for Sophie, and when we put on the scary music on our front porch it was hard to get her to come trick-or-treating.
