August has been hard work in so many ways both mentally and physically. In order to sell the house in Chantilly we were given a list of items that we decided to get fixed, this meant organizing contractors and doing some of work ourselves, which was a greater time hog than we had anticipated. Then on the other side of the coin we started moving all of our stuff/junk into the new house and trying to get settled there (which may take months). In the middle of all this Nien managed to complete the Irongirl triathlon and Damian managed to complete a half marathon in the heat Virginia Beach. Just before we headed to Virginia Beach we were visited by Nien-Chien (Nien's sister) and her husband Holmes and we promptly put them to work on the house to-do list. They came down with us to Virginia beach and we had a fun mini vacation while there, the only bad moments were being stopped by police twice.

Marcus has had a really cool month, he got to play at the beach and show his new skills to some of his favorite people. He helped with some of the house repairs and enjoyed being put to work.

Sophie

Sophie has continued her coordination practices and becoming quite the little runner, although she still looks more like she's falling than running. She loved getting back to the beach and playing in the surf and seems to have developed a desire to be the center of attention...Girls. Whining has been Sophie main issue this month and we have been sure to never give her what she wants when she whines, hopefully this will bring an end to the annoyance that she sometimes entertains us with.
