The garden has continued to grow in July and the rain has been very cooperative with life by regular downpours in the evenings. Mid month we received visitors from across the pond when Saskia (Damian's sister), Steve, Joshua, & Ethan came to stay with us. We had a lot of fun doing a whole lot of activities and watching Nien participate in a triathlon in the far flung reaches of Virginia. Before our visitors left to go home we left on the long drive to Chicago to see Nien's family for the 4th of July.

Marcus

Marcus had a whole lot of fun playing with Joshua and Ethan swapping bad habits and a few good ones too. Marcus was especially excited about camping and visiting the local water park. Sleep was troublesome this month while we had visitors because Marcus and Sophie had to share the same room and managed to keep each other up later and later each night.

Sophie

Sophie loved having different people in the house this month, it gave her extra people to try and use her persuasion techniques on, and she is getting very good at them. Sophie especially loved eating strawberries, walking (being carried) on the rocks at Great falls, and shaking her cow bell at Nien during her triathlon.
