As of the 13th Damian has been in the U.S. for 10 years . Early in the month we headed down South to Smith Mountain Lake so that Damian could make up the numbers in a triathlon down there. The Swim and the bike went pretty well but the run was marred by stomach cramps, and hence the time was a bit slow, nothing new there. Late in the month (the very last day really we took part in the relay for life in support of the cancer society and the cause of finding a cure for cancer, we had a fun time doing the walk and got to talk with lots of really nice people.

Marcus seems to have spent the month looking for worms in the garden and sleeping in tents, and we're not sure which he has enjoyed more. He visited the dentist on the 12^th and was really good whilst seeing the dental hygienist, but he didn't like seeing the dentist so much.

Sophie

The big two came and went without too much fuss on the 10 and although Sophie enjoyed her birthday a lot we didn't celebrate with a party. Sophie has become a professional whiner this month and as stubborn as she is this can make things very difficult for us. Marcus would always come pretty quick at the threat of leaving him behind but Sophie will happily sit down and hold her position until someone goes back to get her (usually Marcus). Sophie's language is coming on greatly this month and she can string together some long sentences and likes to correct Marcus' grammar, "no Marcus, I am, not I is"
