December 2007

On the 12^th Marcus was twice as old as Sophie for the only time in their lives. December has been a month of looking forward to things and being pleased with what we have gotten. Early in the month we were looking forward to Christmas and what that would bring for us all. In the end the kids got what they wanted, Sophie got a baby doll to hug and hold and Marcus got his first (and a second as it turned out) library card. For Christmas we headed west for the warmer weather of San Diego, while there we enjoyed seeing LOTS of animals and playing on the beaches, and Damian even got to take a swim in the very cold Pacific Ocean at La Jolla cove.

Doctor Doolittle - Marcus LOVES animals, so the trip to San Diego was especially good for him, we managed to go to SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and the Wild Animal Park while there. Another favorite this month was playing in the sand at the beach, both he and Sophie seemed to be very pleased to be back near the water. We have continued to have a little attitude from our male offspring, but we have armed ourselves with a few new books so that we can better control this behavior, or at least we hope.

Sophie has loved this month, she has gotten to spend time with aunt Nien-Chien and to spend tme on the beach and looking at some cool animals. Opening Christmas presents has also been a highlight that I'm sure Sophie would not have missed for the World.
