Saskia, Steve, Joshua and Ethan left us early in the month and we spent some time getting back to our normal routines. Work has been pretty busy for both Damian and Nien and the darker nights are forcing us into the house a little earlier than we would like. For those of you wondering about the artistc spurt that Marcus had near the end of the month, don't worry he's not a frantic painter, it's Damian who is'nt very quick to get art on the web.

Potty trained whiner - We have been gently potty training Marcus for a few months now, but without much success, or much force. Around the 10th Marcus got it into his mind that he didn't want to wear diapers anymore, that night after we put him to bed he took off all of his clothes and re-dressed without the diaper, this was the last time that he wore a diaper. There have been a few accidents but he has been wonderful with his new found skills as a 'big boy', we are very proud of him. One thing that seems to have gotten a little worst this month is the whining, and it can be seen in the simplest of things that we do, there have been times when the response to a no is to lie on the floor and make a sound like a distant foghorn, which is off course is when we walk away.

Sophie has been jabbering away all month and seems to be picking up words by the day. She seems to be enjoying school a lot and has been practicing her 'fending off big brother' skills. She gets one great with Marcus and they are really nice to each other, I think that in time she will turn out to be the boss.
