May has been a nice month in Virginia, everything is growing like crazy, the grass, the trees, the kids, and Damian's nails (he stopped biting). We headed out to Chicago late in the month and had a really nice time with family and friends.

Marcus

Marcus has had a pretty standard month for him right now; he's been talking away and learning lots of new things. The question of the month is "where's that come from", which can either elicit the full response about where a thing comes from, or the simpler "from the store". We have passively started potty training with him and he is responding quite well, so far. We still have the safety net of the diapers. Marcus loves insects, sometimes to the shock of his classmates, and one of his favorite activities is showing off the creatures he finds under rocks in the yard.

Sophie

The big 'One' came and went without too much fuss, and only a little celebration. Sophie has been practicing her walking and falling this month, and is getting pretty good, pretty fast (at both). She is becoming more and more sociable with people, although she can still be fairly clingy to Mom and Dad.
