Marcus

I asked Marcus early this month what he wants to be when he grows up, he said that he wants to be a snowman, and then changed his answer to a donkey snowman (we had been watching Shrek). My guess is that with each new day I'd probably get a new answer. Ever the bossy boots Marcus keeps letting us know that he's the boss and that we need to do things in a very particular way, his way. His vocabulary is coming on fine and he's able to sing along when we sing all of his songs. Swimming classes are going well and he seems very comfortable in, and under, the water. Snowball throwing aim leaves a lot to be desired, but we will keep working on that.

Sophie

Sophie has had a rough month, ear infections, and coughing through the night, and a constant nose trickle has been the norm. Despite her apparent winter cold season woes Sophie has shown little irritation. With Marcus we can tell the signs of an ear infection by the night waking and apparent pain, but with Sophie it took a visit to the doctors for a checkup for us to find out, she's tough. Mobility has improved and she can now get around the downstairs of the house pretty well. A few times she has managed to free stand for about 5 seconds before either grabbing on to something or falling on her bum. Solid food is disappearing from sight faster now and her favorites include: bananas, cookies, yogurt, and peaches.
