Sophie Alexandra Diccox
Sophie joined our little family with the following birth statistics:
Date of Birth  :  May 10th 2006
Time of Birth  :  8:19pm
Total Time at hospital pre-birth  :  10 Minutes
Place of Birth  :  Reston Hospital
Length  :  21 inches
Apgar Score  :  9 - 9
Episiotomy  :  No
Drugs  :  None
Weight  :  8lb 14oz
The birth was very scary and very fast, but luckily all went well, the practice run 19 months ago was really different in every way. We finally decided on the name Sophie Alexandra in early May (we only started talking names in April) and it was only after deciding that we realized that our daughter would have SAD initials, ah well not everything can be perfect.
Marcus
Age1 Year 7 Months
Weight31 lb
Height2′ 8″
Marcus has taken to the role of big brother like a duck to water; he helps us out with Sophie and tries to comfort her when she cries. Sometimes he will try to pick her up, so we always need to keep a close eye on him. He is always very gentle with Sophie, and likes to stroke her hair; it's very cute to watch him with her.

AgeBorn this Month
Weight9.3 lb

Head37 cm
Sophie seemed to have spent most of May sleeping. In her waking hours she has been developing a cute little character all of her own, smiling, burping, and a lot of the standard baby gestures. Her muscles are still a little weak, which we find the biggest difference between her and her big brother, who we can pretty much drag and push around as needed. She is eating (and pooping) very well indeed and we expect that she will grow quite fast.

Here is the blow by blow timeline account of what we did
