Spring
Spring is emerging all around us this month and the weather in Virginia is wonderful.
We have been making a concerted effort to clean the house thoroughly in preparation for our new arrivals, baby girl and Nien's Mom.
Part of this work has been outside in the glorious sunshine; where we have managed to spread 10 cubic yards of mulch, Stain the deck, repair the porch, and get the siding fixed, among other things.
The trouble with cleaning is that we often make things look worst before they get any better.
That's where we are right now; we've cleaned enough to make the house a mess.
Trip to North Carolina
The three of us headed down to North Carolina for a long weekend away before the arrival of Marcus's new sister.
We went down to Virginia Beach then on to Kitty Hawk and the monument to the Wright Brothers.
The next morning the weather was getting a little blustery so we headed for the shelter of the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island.
We enjoyed the sun for a while after the aquarium then we traveled to the ferry to Ocracoke Island via a few lighthouses.
The Island was pretty boring and most things were closed so we spent a lot of time just wandering around.
When we got back to the mainland we started the drive to Durham to see the campus of Duke University.
