Yosemite National Park is an American national park in the state of California, surrounded on the southeast by Sierra National Forest and on the northwest by Stanislaus National Forest. The park is managed by the National Park Service and covers an area of 1,187 sq miles.

More than 2,800 flights within, into or out of the United States were already canceled by 10 p.m. ET Sunday (Christmas Eve). This included our flight to San Diego, so we got to spend a night in a fancy hotel before (luckily) getting a (too small) rental car and starting the drive from San Francisco to San Diego.
